Bunnies By The Bay

We have finally caught up with ourselves from our move.  It took THAT long!  Capitola Village is busy in the summer so between meeting new customers and increasing inventory, we have not had a lot of time to sew our own designs.  We did not meet our goal of increasing size to 3T.  But!  Not to be discouraged, we're attempting it for Fall/Winter designs.  I'll let you know:-)

This is Itty-Bit, the incredibly soft and yummy bunny created by Bunnies By The Bay.  Itty-Bit has been our favorite bundle since we first opened the shop and he is our highest selling stuffy - because you just can't put him down once you've cuddled him!  It's just that simple.  (He now has friends Petal, and Bleu.  Best Friends Indeed!)

Bunnies By The Bay has been creating whimsical stuffys, slippers, buddy blankets, coats and clothing for years.  You can spot a BBTB design in a moment just by the fabrics used and the extra touches they put on everything they make.

But all good things must come to an end.  And Bunnies By The Bay is no longer making their whimsical clothing.  Yes, coats and slippers and all the stuffys, but no more clothes.  We were heartbroken to hear this but the ever-challenged economy takes it's toll on bunnies, too.

We snatched up all we could of the remainder of their clothing designs.  We have these adorable newborn snuggle sacks in cream, pink and blue.  Almost a necessity for a newborn, but these must be the cutest!  Bunny ears on the cuffs and the top of the hat.  Cross over design for easy in-and-out and an appliqued Blossom on the front.  The fabric is scattered with carrots.  And the bottom zips open and closed for those late-night quickie changes. 

All in machine washable, soft cotton knit.  First come, first serve and no getting more, so don't wait. 

The other design I was able to grab is Blossom's Girlie Gown.  Also for the newborn (0-3 month), it's soft pink cotton knit with an appliqued Blossom on the front and a beautiful lawn overlay on the gown, complete with ruffle on the bottom.  Absolutely precious for a new little girl.

We shall fondly remember how special Bunnies By The Bay designs are, and hope for wonderful, whimsical, new surprises in the future.
